About the Role
Polaris Bank Limited, a leading Systemically Important Bank in Nigeria, is seeking a driven and experienced professional to join our team as the Team Lead Commercial Banking Officer in Ondo. In this pivotal role, you will lead commercial lending, drive digital banking adoption, and oversee exceptional branch operations to deliver top-tier financial solutions to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and propose retail and commercial banking products tailored to meet specific customer needs while analyzing associated risks and profitability.
- Build and nurture strategic client relationships, conduct regular reviews, and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Evaluate customer financial strength, analyze credit risks, and structure commercial lending terms and credit proposals.
- Oversee branch operations, ensure adherence to regulatory policies, and implement process improvements for enhanced efficiency.
- Monitor fintech trends and optimize digital banking channels and eCommerce products to improve service delivery.
- Manage key accounts and collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Bachelor degree in Banking and Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 0 to 8 years of cognate banking experience, preferably within commercial banking and credit analysis.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CIBN, ICAN, ACA, or ACCA will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of credit risk management, commercial lending processes, and branch operations.
