About the Role
Polaris Bank Limited, a leading Systemically Important Bank in Nigeria, is looking for a driven and experienced Team Lead Commercial Banking Officer to join our dynamic team in Ogun. In this strategic role, you will spearhead commercial banking initiatives, cultivate high-value client relationships, and ensure seamless branch and operational excellence to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and propose tailored retail and commercial banking products to meet specific customer financial needs and objectives.
- Lead strategic relationship management, conduct regular client reviews, and drive conceptual selling of bank solutions.
- Evaluate customer financial strength, perform credit underwriting, and manage credit risk by structuring robust loan facilities.
- Resolve customer complaints efficiently and champion a customer-centric mindset across all service touchpoints.
- Ensure branch operations, cash management, and security protocols strictly comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Analyze financial statements, prepare comprehensive credit proposals, and optimize commercial lending processes.
- Identify digital banking trends and collaborate with internal units to enhance electronic banking channels and eCommerce products.
- Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of cognate experience in commercial banking, relationship management, and credit analysis.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CIBN, ICAN, ACA, or ACCA are a strong advantage.
