In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring complete regulatory compliance, managing statutory filings, and mitigating tax risks across our diverse business operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs our Tax Officer, your core responsibilities will encompass comprehensive tax administration and financial reconciliation:
- Prepare and submit periodic tax returns, declarations, and statutory filings for VAT, WHT, CIT, and other levies within prescribed deadlines.
- Monitor compliance with federal and state tax laws, maintaining an up-to-date compliance calendar for renewals and payment dates.
- Reconcile tax control accounts, statutory deductions, and payroll taxes including PAYE in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Coordinate tax audits, regulatory reviews, and liaise with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and State Internal Revenue Services.
- Identify potential tax risks, assess business transactions for tax efficiency, and maintain robust documentation and internal controls.
- Prepare periodic tax compliance reports and provide accurate schedules for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Taxation, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification or active progression toward certification (e.g., ACA, CITN).

- Deep working knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, regulatory frameworks, and statutory compliance procedures.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and reconciliation skills with proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
