PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc is part of a multinational consumer goods business, PZ Cussons Plc. We manufacture and distribute some of the best-loved brands in Nigeria, from Imperial Leather to Cussons Baby, Morning Fresh, Thermocool, and Robb. Operating across five core categories—personal care, beauty, home care, food and nutrition, and electricals—our worldwide group employs over 5,000 people across Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America. As our new Tax Manager, you will ensure our business operates confidently, responsibly, and efficiently across a complex tax landscape while driving sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting, filings, and statutory remittances across multiple entities to keep the business compliant.
- Drive confidence in financial reporting through robust tax reconciliations, reviews, and compliance monitoring.
- Build constructive relationships with tax authorities and external partners to resolve queries efficiently.
- Provide analysis, forecasts, and insights to support effective tax planning, business decisions, and budgeting processes.
- Maintain accurate records, manage compliance trackers, and support audits, reviews, and tax investigations.
- Provide expert tax guidance across the business, including supporting operations in Ghana and Kenya.
- Degree in Accounting and a recognized professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CITN.
- Demonstrated experience in a tax-focused finance role within an FMCG, multinational, or complex corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax legislation including VAT, WHT, Companies Income Tax, PAYE, and Transfer Pricing.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax accounting processes.
- Proficiency in SAP and advanced Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to manage priorities and build cross-functional relationships.
