We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven Tax Analyst to provide vital operational support to our tax function at DSR Apapa, ensuring accuracy and full statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Compute monthly Value Added Tax (VAT) and Withholding Tax (WHT) liabilities and returns for DSR Apapa.
- Prepare and ensure timely, accurate filing of complete VAT and WHT returns in line with statutory deadlines and regulations.
- Post recovered WHT journals, maintain accurate WHT receivables records using Tax Pro-Max entries, and follow up on outstanding amounts.
- Collate and validate tax data required for comprehensive monthly tax reports submitted to the Head Office.
- Maintain and regularly update staff Tax Identification Numbers (TINs) and facilitate new tax ID creations when necessary.
- Resolve staff and directors' tax-related enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Provide additional accounting and financial support through bank reconciliations and Fixed Asset creation in SAP.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Active progress toward or completion of professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACCA, or CITN is a strong advantage.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience in taxation, accounting, or finance.
- Solid understanding of Nigerian tax legislation, regulatory requirements, and compliance processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong financial data analysis capabilities.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP and platforms like Tax Pro-Max.
