About the Role
The Nigerian Navy is seeking a skilled and dedicated Tailor to join our esteemed workforce. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the high standards of appearance and professionalism expected within the naval force. Under our core vision to emplace a well-trained, equipped, and highly motivated naval force, you will contribute directly to our operational readiness by providing expert tailoring and garment maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities- Design, measure, cut, and sew uniforms and other official garments for naval personnel.
- Perform alterations, repairs, and fittings on existing uniforms to ensure proper and professional standards.
- Inspect finished garments to ensure quality, durability, and adherence to military dress codes.
- Maintain sewing equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and operational condition.
- Manage inventory of fabrics, threads, buttons, and other tailoring materials efficiently.
- Minimum of SSCE or equivalent with 4 passes, including a credit in English Language.
- Must possess a relevant professional tailoring certificate or verifiable proven experience in garment making.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under strict timelines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must meet the physical and medical requirements stipulated by the Nigerian Navy.
