About the Role
Bluechip Technologies Limited is a leading business application firm dedicated to helping organizations build a competitive edge through robust data solutions. We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Services Division in a permanent, client-embedded role supporting tier-1 telecom customers. In this position, you will build, operate, and enhance large-scale Apache Open-Source Lakehouse platforms, ensuring high reliability and delivering impactful analytics use cases.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data pipelines using Apache Kafka, PySpark, Flink, Airflow, Trino, and Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake.
- Build and support Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) data pipelines processing high-volume telecom data at terabyte and petabyte scale.
- Implement dimensional data models, including fact tables, dimension tables, and star schemas.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client data requirements, translating business needs into scalable data products.
- Monitor pipeline performance, resolve data quality issues, and implement observability for production environments.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional data engineering experience, with at least 3 years supporting large-scale platforms.
- Proven expertise in the Apache Open-Source ecosystem (Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Iceberg/Delta Lake).
- Strong SQL, Python, and dimensional data modeling skills.
- Experience with telecom data sources such as CDRs and OSS/BSS systems is a significant advantage.
