About the Role
The Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a dedicated and analytical Sustainability Analyst to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this vital role, you will monitor, analyze, and forecast the environmental, social, governance, and climate performance of our operations, helping drive our commitment to sustainable industrial growth across the continent.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with diverse functions and plant operations to implement sustainability performance enhancement goals and targets.
- Analyze emerging ESG issues and partner with leadership to formulate actionable response plans.
- Plan and execute stakeholder engagements while generating decision-useful data reports regarding ESG KPIs.
- Support the development of sustainability reporting aligned with global frameworks such as IFRS S1 and S2, GRI, UNGC, and CDP.
- Coordinate the plant decarbonisation programme, including training and adherence to reduction action plans.
- Utilize carbon accounting and ESG software to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting integrity.
- Manage sustainability campaigns, initiatives, and capacity building for plant sustainability champions.
- Bachelor's degree in a Sustainability or Environmental field; advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven corporate sustainability experience within a large organization, preferably manufacturing.
- At least 3 years of experience in sustainability reporting using global standards.
- Demonstrated expertise with at least 2 years of greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting.
- Strong analytical proficiency using MS Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and quantitative research methods.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and change management skills.
