About the Role
DP World is a leading global logistics provider committed to making trade flow better across the globe. We are currently looking for an experienced and dynamic Transport Operations Supervisor to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will actively support daily fleet management, coordinate fleet controllers, and ensure efficient truck utilization to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary interface between operations and clients, ensuring timely and secure product delivery.
- Coordinate fleet deployment, trip timelines, and driver activities in liaison with the Transport Operations Manager (TOM).
- Supervise fleet controllers and ensure prompt attention to truck faults through coordination with the Workshop Services Manager.
- Manage ERP systems such as SAP and i-manager to update trip KPIs, documentation, and operational transactions.
- Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental standards, monitoring safety violations via tracking platforms like Nova track.
- Supervise pre- and post-trip truck inspections, manage incident and accident documentation, and handle insurance claims.
- Reconcile revenues, mileages, trip timelines, and Proof of Delivery (POD) documents for accurate billing and client retention.
- Generate periodic reports including daily trip profitability, expected delivery date reports, and flash reports.
- Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in transport operations, supply chain, or 3PL management.
- In-depth knowledge of fleet and vehicle (F&V) operations and high-level rescue and recovery operations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, i-manager) and fleet tracking software.
