About the Role
DP World is a leading global supply chain enabler committed to making global trade flow better. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Maintenance Supervisor to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining high standards of diagnostic proficiency, overseeing timely repairs, and ensuring our fleet of trucks and trailers operates at peak performance. You will lead a dedicated team of mechanical professionals, driving operational excellence and adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards within our workshop.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise, plan, and coordinate fleet servicing and maintenance activities to meet time, cost, and safety targets.
- Control the Workshop Management System by scheduling jobs, monitoring repairs, and tracking workshop income and expenditure.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and regular feedback to mechanical tradespersons and apprentices.
- Conduct on-the-job tutorials and assist team members in solving complex mechanical and hydraulic problems.
- Convert notifications into work orders on ERP systems and requisition necessary spare parts from the store.
- Inspect technicians' work to ensure compliance with customer and vehicle manufacturer specifications.
- Manage internal and external client relations to facilitate efficient delivery of mechanical services.
- Monitor workshop expenses and assist the Workshop Area Manager in achieving budget projections.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant Mechanical Engineering Certification or PMP is an advantage.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced transport or logistics environment.
- Strong proficiency in modern diagnostic tools, equipment, and ERP systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of vehicle manufacturer specifications and maintenance standards.
