About the Role
Bell Oil & Gas is a leading wholly-owned Nigerian independent oil services company committed to delivering high-quality products and services across the energy sector. We are currently seeking an experienced and meticulous Finance Supervisor to join our dynamic finance team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining financial integrity, optimizing liquidity, ensuring rigorous regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide effective support to the finance function by managing financing transactions, foreign payments, and accurate general ledger postings within SAP.
- Oversee financial control and reporting, including monthly bank reconciliations, loan tracking, fixed asset management, and timely closing of accounts for external audits.
- Deliver on cash flow and liquidity improvements by maintaining liquidation track sheets and contributing to 12-week cash flow forecasts and yearly budgets.
- Ensure strict regulatory compliance by managing FIRS and LIRS tax audits, filing VAT and WHT returns via Tax Pro Max, and ensuring statutory payments are settled promptly.
- Manage treasury, accounts payable, vendor reconciliations, payroll processing, and comprehensive budgetary control with variance analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional finance and accounting experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Mandatory professional certification (ICAN or ACCA).
- Robust knowledge of IFRS standards and hands-on experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, along with strong treasury, taxation, and financial reporting skills.
