About the Role
Plumptre Advisory is seeking a dedicated and experienced Subject Teacher to deliver exceptional educational support and operational excellence within our partner schools. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping student success, specifically focusing on English Language instruction and supporting students with English as an Additional Language (EAL) needs within a rigorous academic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and high-quality English Language lessons tailored to secondary school students.
- Provide specialized EAL support to help students improve language proficiency and access the broader curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum materials, teaching strategies, and departmental policies.
- Participate in teacher training sessions and contribute to staff recruitment and operational improvements as needed.
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations, ensuring high standards of academic achievement.
- Bachelor's Degree in English Language, Education, Linguistics, TESOL, or a related discipline.
- A Master's degree in English or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification teaching experience within a school setting, preferably secondary school.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), an equivalent recognized teaching qualification, and/or a recognized TEFL qualification.
- Proven experience teaching students for whom English is an additional language within a British or international school environment.
