About the Role
China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) Nigeria Limited is seeking a dedicated and analytical Subgrade Designer to join our expanding engineering team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping Nigeria's transport infrastructure by designing robust and reliable subgrade structures for major roads and railways.
Key Responsibilities- Design subgrade structures for roads, railways, and large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring optimal stability and long-term safety.
- Perform comprehensive soil analysis, geotechnical evaluations, and load assessments to guide engineering and design decisions.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and precise specifications for materials and construction methods.
- Collaborate closely with civil engineers, surveyors, and project managers to guarantee design feasibility, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Ensure all subgrade designs strictly comply with local and international safety regulations, environmental standards, and project specifications.
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of proven professional experience in subgrade design and geotechnical engineering.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and geotechnical analysis tools like PLAXIS or GeoStudio.
- Strong working knowledge of soil mechanics, material properties, and modern subgrade construction methods.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and strong communication skills for preparing technical reports.
