About the Role
The Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria (IHVN) is a leading local non-governmental organization addressing public health crises, including HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, and emerging diseases. We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Study and Data Coordinator to join our team for the OUTCOME Study, focusing on investigating treatment outcomes for drug-resistant tuberculosis among children in Nigeria. The successful candidate will work closely with principal investigators, healthcare providers, and key stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of project activities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the day-to-day coordination and management of the OUTCOME Study, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and regulations.
- Supervise study site research assistants in the enrollment, follow-up, and management of study participants.
- Maintain and oversee the REDCap database, ensuring rigorous data accuracy, routine error identification, and data quality assurance.
- Coordinate with laboratory stakeholders and the IHVN Biorepository to guarantee proper sample transportation and storage.
- Manage system access and accounts for site staff utilizing the REDCap web portal and other data management applications.
- Prepare regular progress reports, contribute to research publications, and actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Minimum of a Master's Degree in Public Health, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in clinical or public health research, with at least one accepted conference abstract or journal paper.
- Certified training in health research ethics.
- Proficiency in REDCap, Microsoft Excel, Stata, R, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
