About the Role
Redeemer's 103.5 FM, a prominent campus radio station established by Redeemer's University in Ede, Osun State, Nigeria, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Student Volunteer - Music to join our dynamic media team. Our station serves as both a premier training ground for world-class broadcasters and a vital tool for stimulating grassroots development within the local community. If you have a deep love for music, radio broadcasting, and community engagement, this volunteer opportunity will provide you with hands-on industry experience and professional growth in a vibrant academic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in curating, organizing, and scheduling music playlists for various radio programs and daily broadcasts.
- Collaborate with on-air personalities and producers to select appropriate tracks that align with station guidelines and audience preferences.
- Monitor incoming music submissions from local and international artists to identify fresh, high-quality content.
- Support the production team in recording, editing, and archiving music-related segments and live studio sessions.
- Help maintain the station's digital music library and ensure proper licensing and metadata tagging.
- Current student enrolled at Redeemer's University or a relevant tertiary institution in Nigeria.
- Strong passion for diverse music genres, radio broadcasting, and audio production.
- Excellent communication, listening, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative media environment.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with digital audio workstations is an added advantage.
