Avatar New Energy Materials Co. Limited is a pioneering company in Nigeria's mining sector, specializing in the exploration, mining, and processing of lithium. Our mission is to become a leading supplier of high-quality lithium products, driving the global transition to renewable energy. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Chinese Translator to join our dynamic team on a full-time, on-site basis.
Key Responsibilities- Provide accurate oral and written translations between Chinese and English for various on-site interactions.
- Interpret spoken communications during meetings, technical training sessions, and daily operations between Chinese and non-Chinese speaking staff.
- Facilitate clear communication between the security team and Chinese management, including translating security documents and emergency plans.
- Assist the Head of the Production Department in supervising daily factory activities and monitoring workforce efficiency.
- Translate technical production documents, operational reports, and meeting minutes accurately.
- Act as a cultural liaison between Chinese expatriates and local Nigerian employees to foster mutual understanding and collaboration.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree (B.Sc) from a recognized institution.
- 2 to 3 years of proven experience in translation and interpretation, preferably within a mining, manufacturing, or technical business environment.
- Exceptional fluency in both Chinese and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively hear, speak, and translate the Chinese language in fast-paced industrial settings.
- Fluency in Hausa is considered an added advantage.
- Prior experience studying or working in China is a strong plus.
