About the Role
Redeemer's 103.5 FM, a prominent campus radio station established by Redeemer's University in Ede, Osun State, Nigeria, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Student Volunteer to join our dynamic media team. Known for functioning as both a premier training ground for world-class broadcasters and a vital tool for stimulating grassroots development within our local community, our station offers an immersive environment for aspiring media professionals. This volunteer opportunity is designed for students eager to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world audio production, educational programming, and documentary storytelling.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in researching, writing, and producing engaging educational radio programs and documentaries.
- Participate in field recording, audio editing, and sound design for various broadcast segments.
- Collaborate with producers and senior broadcasters to develop community-focused content that drives grassroots development.
- Support studio operations, including guest coordination, script management, and live broadcast assistance.
- Help manage digital and social media platforms to promote station programs and engage listeners.
- Current student enrolled in Redeemer's University or a recognized tertiary institution in Nigeria.
- Strong passion for broadcasting, journalism, documentary production, or mass communication.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, with additional local language proficiency being an advantage.
- Basic understanding of audio editing software and digital media tools is a strong plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative radio station environment.
