About the Role
Hitech Construction Company Limited, established in 1988, is a leading building and civil engineering contractor in Nigeria with offices in Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, and Benin City. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our dynamic Bridge Department. In this role, you will contribute to the design, 3D modelling, detailing, and successful delivery of complex bridge engineering projects, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure technically sound, high-quality outcomes that meet stringent industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and review comprehensive structural designs, technical drawings, and documentation for various bridge projects.
- Create accurate, detailed 3D structural models and design documentation utilizing Revit software.
- Prepare, verify, and review Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) alongside precise reinforcement detailing.
- Support advanced structural analysis, design, and detailing of bridge components and related civil structures.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements accurately.
- Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary engineers, architects, project managers, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all deliverables strictly comply with relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Proven professional experience working specifically on bridge engineering and heavy civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong, demonstrated proficiency in Revit, with specialized expertise in structural and detailed 3D modelling.
- Practical, hands-on experience in preparing accurate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and reinforcement detailing.
- Comprehensive understanding of structural design principles, bridge components, and modern construction practices.
