About the Role
Integrated Dairies Limited (IDL), a leading producer of fresh milk and dairy products located in Vom, Plateau State, is seeking a diligent Storekeeper / Inventory Officer to oversee our material management operations. In this vital role, you will ensure the seamless receipt, storage, and issuance of inventory while maintaining the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and accuracy in line with our premium dairy manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, thoroughly inspect, and accurately record all incoming goods against purchase orders to verify quantity and quality.
- Organize and store materials systematically in designated warehouse and storage areas to prevent damage or spoilage.
- Maintain precise, up-to-date inventory records using both manual ledgers and automated management systems.
- Conduct routine physical stock counts, investigate discrepancies, and reconcile inventory variances effectively.
- Ensure all stored items are clearly labeled, tagged, and systematically categorized for rapid retrieval.
- Monitor stock thresholds closely and promptly alert management regarding low inventory or impending shortages.
- Enforce strict workplace safety, cleanliness, and security protocols across the entire storage facility.
- Process and issue store requisitions strictly based on authorized approvals from relevant department heads.
- Adhere rigorously to company quality assurance and hygiene standards applicable to dairy industry materials.
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Store Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Three to five (3-5) years of proven professional experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or warehousing, ideally within the FMCG or manufacturing sectors.
- Solid working knowledge of modern inventory control systems and established stock management principles.
- Strong organizational, numerical, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy under pressure while managing multiple warehouse tasks.
