About the Role
Sevan Construction Nigeria Limited, established in 1981, is a leading limited liability company specializing in steel fabrication, semi-trailers, civil construction, and steel structures. We are currently looking for a dedicated and proactive Storekeeper to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our supply chain efficiency by ensuring accurate inventory tracking, timely material dispatch, and strict adherence to quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare internal requisitions for material replenishment and follow up closely with the procurement department.
- Inspect incoming deliveries for compliance and quality standards in alignment with our quality management system.
- Ensure effective documentation, proper preservation, and monitoring of all store materials, including degradable items.
- Facilitate timely dispatch and issuance of materials to support ongoing production and project timelines.
- Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent stockouts and avoid any production delays.
- Coordinate with the factory manager and project supervisors for seamless material and tool allocation.
- Manage the entire requisition, receiving, opening, storing, and replenishing lifecycle for all merchandise and supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and promptly report any damages, losses, or shortages.
- Supervise and coordinate store personnel to achieve departmental goals efficiently.
- Generate comprehensive and timely weekly and monthly inventory reports.
- Proven working experience as a Storekeeper, ideally within a construction or steel fabrication company.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suites for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Highly proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to network effectively across production teams.
