About the Role
SIMS Nigeria Limited, a renowned leader in the distribution and sales of major electronic brands such as Samsung, Royal, Parsun, and Powermatic, is seeking a diligent and organized Store Officer. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our high standards of inventory management, ensuring seamless stock receipt, safe storage, accurate documentation, and timely issuance across our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, inspect, and document incoming electronic goods and materials against approved purchase orders.
- Organize and store products safely to ensure easy identification, accessibility, and protection against damage.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date digital and physical records of all stock movements using ERP software.
- Issue stock to authorized departments and branches based on approved requisition vouchers.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and comprehensive physical inventory reconciliations to prevent discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels, identify replenishment needs, and track slow-moving or obsolete items.
- Prepare Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and generate periodic inventory reports for management.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Sales, Finance, and Warehouse teams to resolve stock discrepancies.
- Ensure strict compliance with company inventory control policies, safety standards, and store cleanliness.
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or warehousing.
- Prior experience in a retail or consumer electronics environment will be a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern inventory management systems or ERP software.
- Strong numerical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and high accuracy in record-keeping.
