About the Role
The Dangote Group, Africa's leading industrial conglomerate, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager - Receiving for our Dangote Cement Plant (DCP) in Gboko, Benue State. In this pivotal role, you will lead all inbound receiving activities, ensuring the timely, safe, and accurate receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming raw materials, spare parts, and consumables in strict compliance with company policies, HSE standards, and store procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily receiving operations including offloading, physical inspection, weighing, and acceptance of incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Manage non-conformances, shortages, overages, and damaged goods by coordinating swiftly with procurement, quality assurance, and logistics teams.
- Ensure prompt and accurate entry of goods into the ERP/WMS system and generate Goods Received Notes (GRNs) efficiently.
- Oversee the quarantine area for suspect or damaged inventory and manage proper disposal or return workflows.
- Lead, train, and mentor warehouse receiving staff while managing performance and scheduling.
- Enforce strict health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards, ensuring the safe operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
- Optimize inbound vehicle scheduling to minimize congestion, turnaround times, and demurrage costs.
- Maintain a clean, highly organized receiving bay and participate actively in cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of warehouse or stores receiving experience within heavy industry, manufacturing, or the cement sector, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proficiency in ERP and WMS platforms, with hands-on experience in SAP or Oracle being a distinct advantage.
