About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified manufacturing conglomerate, is seeking a dedicated Store Manager, Issuing for our DCP Gboko Plant in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will oversee end-to-end materials issuing operations for production, maintenance, and site projects, ensuring correct material selection, timely issuance, and strict inventory control to support seamless plant operations while minimizing stock losses.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily issuing activities to production, maintenance, and contractors according to approved requisitions and work orders.
- Verify requisitions for authorization, specification, and availability before issue, escalating discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure accurate picking, kitting, and staging of materials while maintaining FIFO and FEFO discipline.
- Execute material issues using ERP and WMS modules, ensuring all documentation is complete and properly archived.
- Control the issuance of critical spares and high-value items by enforcing strict approval matrices.
- Collaborate with planning and maintenance teams to prioritize urgent breakdown requests and expedite issuance.
- Supervise, train, and mentor the issuing team to maintain high performance and accurate part identification.
- Conduct regular physical checks of issuing points and reconcile discrepancies with central stores records.
- Minimize theft and unauthorized issuance through rigorous access control, oversight, and strict sign-off procedures.
- Support preventive stock level reviews and recommend adjustments based on usage trends.
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of stores or issuing experience within a heavy industry environment, with cement or large manufacturing experience preferred.
- Hands-on proficiency with ERP stores modules and automated material issue workflows.
- Strong process discipline, numerical accuracy, and advanced technical part identification skills.
