About the Role
Virgin Forest Energy Limited, a leading downstream oil trading company in Nigeria, is seeking a trustworthy, detail-oriented, and responsible Station Cashier to join our retail team in Owerri, Egbu Road. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing daily station transactions, ensuring accurate payment processing, maintaining proper financial records, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and process customer payments accurately through cash, POS, and approved transfer channels.
- Reconcile daily sales against cash received, POS settlements, and bank transfer confirmations.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily cash and sales reports to the Station Supervisor.
- Ensure the safe handling, custody, and timely remittance of company funds in line with standard operating procedures.
- Report cash shortages, excesses, and suspicious transactions promptly to management.
- Maintain organized and confidential financial documents, including invoices and payment receipts.
- Provide courteous, professional service to all retail customers.
- Minimum of HND or B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in cashiering, retail operations, or accounting, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications.
- Exceptional numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and ability to handle confidential financial information.
