About the Role
Beyond Beans Foundation is dedicated to developing, organizing, and implementing projects across supply chains to boost innovation and deliver maximum benefits for farming communities. We act as a catalyst in building profitable and self-sustaining cocoa communities. We are currently looking for a dynamic Standards & Assurance Manager based in our Akure office to drive the implementation of major certification programmes including Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade, Cocoa Horizons, and Beyond Beans standards across our Nigerian supply chain.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all client-required certification documents are obtained from partner groups and maintain weekly internal status updates for leadership.
- Lead and manage the up-country Standards and Assurance team, developing work plans, best practices, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with the M&E and Information Management teams to standardise digital data collection, polygon mapping, and traceability data.
- Design, manage, and monitor the annual crop season budget, ensuring strict compliance with operational expenses and financial procedures.
- Conduct internal audits on EUDR and pesticide management, and train conventional suppliers on traceability controls.
- Master’s degree in Agricultural Development, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing agricultural standards in cocoa, coffee, or cashew, with mandatory experience in Rainforest Alliance certification.
- Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a self-starter, all-round mentality.
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and representation skills with a solid understanding of local realities in Nigeria.
