About the Role

M54 Studios is an African theatre production company born from a mission to elevate African storytelling across live theatre, film, and digital platforms. From sold-out UK stage productions to the development of a premium streaming platform, M54 builds cultural IP that travels and redefines how African stories reach global audiences. We are currently looking for a talented and organized Stage Manager to join our vibrant production team in Nigeria and help us deliver world-class theatrical experiences.

As our Stage Manager, you will be the backbone of our live productions, coordinating every moving part to guarantee artistic excellence and operational safety.

• Run rehearsals efficiently, maintaining accurate prompt books and blocking notes.
• Manage live shows by calling cues, coordinating cast and crew, and ensuring smooth day-of operations so performances stay strictly on track.
• Facilitate clear communication between directors, designers, actors, and technical crew members throughout the production lifecycle.
• Address and resolve any unforeseen issues or emergencies swiftly during live performances to maintain production integrity.
• Oversee stage setups, props management, and adherence to safety protocols during all rehearsals and show days.

To thrive in this role, you should bring a strong background in theatrical production and exceptional organizational skills.

• Proven professional experience as a Stage Manager in live theatre, performing arts, or large-scale entertainment productions.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and multitasking abilities under high-pressure live environments.
• In-depth knowledge of stagecraft, lighting, sound, rigging, and overall technical production workflows.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and intense rehearsal periods.
• A deep passion for African storytelling and a strong alignment with the mission and vision of M54 Studios.
