About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitising Africa’s real economy by building a robust financial ecosystem for businesses. We are looking for a visionary Staff Product Designer to join our team as a senior individual contributor, where you will drive design excellence, set strategic direction, and multiply impact across multiple product initiatives without direct people management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead comprehensive design strategy for major product areas and cross-product initiatives.
- Drive complex, highly ambiguous projects from initial discovery through to successful launch.
- Set design standards, patterns, and best practices that elevate the entire product team.
- Partner closely with senior product and engineering leadership to shape long-term strategy.
- Mentor and sponsor senior and mid-level designers informally to foster a culture of craftsmanship.
- Identify strategic opportunities beyond the roadmap and contribute significantly to our design system evolution.
- Minimum of 10 years of product design experience with a proven track record of strategic impact.
- An exceptional portfolio demonstrating leadership, systems thinking, and influence across multiple products.
- Deep expertise in visual design, interaction design, and advanced prototyping.
- Strong research skills with the ability to validate strategic decisions using data and evidence.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills at the senior leadership level.
- Ability to operate autonomously in environments of extreme ambiguity and make high-stakes decisions.
