About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitising Africa’s real economy by building a comprehensive financial ecosystem for businesses. As a Staff Product Designer, you will act as a senior individual contributor driving design excellence and strategic impact across multiple teams. You will lead through craft mastery and strategic thinking, setting direction and solving complex problems that span across our core products.
Key Responsibilities- Lead design strategy for major product areas and cross-product initiatives from discovery through launch.
- Set design standards, patterns, and best practices that elevate the team's output.
- Partner with senior product and engineering leadership to define product strategy and identify unmapped opportunities.
- Contribute significantly to the evolution of our design system.
- Mentor and sponsor senior and mid-level designers informally, raising the overall design capabilities across the organization.
- Facilitate workshops and alignment sessions to drive high-stakes decision-making.
- Approximately 10+ years of product design experience with a proven track record of strategic impact.
- Mastery of modern design tools, advanced prototyping, visual design, interaction design, and systems thinking.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to influence without authority in complex environments.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills at the senior leadership level.
