About the Role
Lagos Executive Cardiovascular Centre (LECC) is a premier multidisciplinary cardiovascular and cardiac rehabilitation facility dedicated to diagnosing and managing heart and vascular diseases. We are currently seeking a skilled, compassionate, and detail-oriented Sonographer to join our dynamic healthcare team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services, working alongside experienced cardiologists, surgeons, and clinical professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a supportive and advanced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Conduct abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, cardiac, and other relevant ultrasound scans within scope of practice.
- Obtain accurate diagnostic images and ensure proper documentation of findings.
- Operate, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting of advanced ultrasound equipment.
- Ensure patients are properly prepared, informed, and comfortable throughout examinations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and examination reports.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, cardiologists, and radiologists to support accurate diagnosis and patient management.
- Identify and promptly communicate urgent or significant findings to the appropriate clinician.
- Maintain high standards of infection prevention, patient safety, and professional ethics.
- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Technology, or Higher National Diploma in Medical Sonography or a relevant healthcare qualification.
- Valid professional registration and licensing with the appropriate regulatory body in Nigeria.
- Proven clinical experience as a Sonographer within a reputable hospital or diagnostic centre.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ultrasound techniques, human anatomy, and patient safety standards.
