About the Role
Medaan Engineering Services Limited is expanding its renewable energy division and currently seeking a dedicated Solar Installation Engineer / Technician to support major solar power projects across Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in deploying efficient, high-quality energy systems that power homes, businesses, and critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Perform safe and efficient installation of solar PV panels, inverters, lithium batteries, charge controllers, and balance-of-system components.
- Conduct comprehensive load assessments, site inspections, and solar system sizing for residential and commercial clients.
- Execute rigorous electrical wiring, system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of renewable energy setups.
- Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on existing solar power infrastructure.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, safety documentation, and project progress updates.
- Ensure strict adherence to industry health, safety, and environmental standards across all project sites.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on professional experience in solar installation, maintenance, and renewable energy systems.
- Possession of an OND, HND, B.Eng., B.Tech., or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics/Electronics, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical disciplines.
- Proven expertise in system troubleshooting, wiring, and electrical protection systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and exceptional safety awareness.
- Willingness to travel and execute field assignments at various project locations across Nigeria.
