Slum and Rural Health Initiative is looking for a passionate and skilled Software Developer to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will leverage technology to improve healthcare information and service delivery across vulnerable and underserved communities in Nigeria, Ethiopia, The Gambia, and beyond. Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain robust web and mobile applications to support health advocacy and service delivery.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, researchers, and UI/UX designers to translate requirements into scalable digital solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software systems and databases to ensure optimal performance.
- Integrate third-party APIs and secure data collection tools to support research and field operations.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation for internal teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience in software development and application maintenance.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages, frameworks, and database management systems.
- Familiarity with cloud hosting services, API integration, and version control tools like Git.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
