About the Role
Wale Adenuga Productions Ltd (WAP), a leading name in the Nigerian entertainment and media industry with over 27 years of excellence in producing iconic television series and family entertainment, is looking for a dynamic Social Media Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping our digital voice, expanding our online community, and driving engagement for our widely loved programs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive social media strategies across major platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Create, edit, and publish engaging daily content, including graphics, short-form videos, and compelling copywriting tailored to entertainment audiences.
- Monitor social media trends, algorithm updates, and cultural moments to ensure our brand remains relevant and culturally resonant.
- Analyze performance metrics and social listening data to optimize campaigns and report on growth and engagement KPIs.
- Engage actively with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a vibrant, loyal online community.
- Collaborate with the production and marketing teams to promote new episodes, special features, and company milestones.
- Proven passion for the Nigerian entertainment industry, social media culture, and digital content creation.
- Demonstrated knowledge and active experience in managing major social media platforms and scheduling tools.
- High level of creativity with a strong eye for visual aesthetics and the ability to brainstorm fresh, viral content ideas.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Basic graphic design and video editing skills using tools like Canva, Adobe Premiere, or CapCut are a strong advantage.
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Mass Communication, or a related field.
