About the Role
Kolomoni Microfinance Bank is a leading financial services provider dedicated to delivering smart, personalized, and seamless banking experiences to our valued customers. As we continue to expand our digital footprint, we are seeking a dedicated and proactive SOC Analyst to join our Information Security team. In this role, you will be instrumental in protecting our infrastructure, analyzing security logs, and proactively mitigating emerging cyber threats within a fast-paced banking environment.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor security events and alerts from SIEM, EDR, and other security tools to detect potential security breaches.
- Perform triage, incident response, and root cause analysis for security alerts and cyber threats.
- Analyze network traffic, system logs, and threat intelligence feeds to identify anomalous activities and attack vectors.
- Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to remediate vulnerabilities and harden system defenses.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of incident response playbooks and detection rules.
- Document security incidents thoroughly and prepare detailed reports for management and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant formal professional training in cybersecurity and information systems.
- Proven foundational understanding of network protocols, threat vectors, log analysis, and incident response frameworks.
- CompTIA Security+ certification is preferred.
- CompTIA CySA+, Microsoft SC-200, BTL1, or GIAC certifications (GSEC, GCIH, GCIA) represent a strong advantage.
- Hands-on experience or vendor certifications in leading SIEM, XDR, or EDR platforms.
