About the Role
Greywood Hotels & Apartments is situated in a serene and well-secured environment, dedicated to providing clean and comfortable accommodation for corporate professionals and leisure guests alike. We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Officer to join our dynamic team and ensure the flawless operation of our facilities, equipment, and guest rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance of hotel equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC units.
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from both guests and internal staff members.
- Repair or replace defective equipment, fixtures, lighting, and fittings across the property.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, scheduled maintenance logs, and inventory levels for tools and supplies.
- Ensure strict compliance with Nigerian health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Assist in setting up equipment and facilities for corporate events, meetings, and hotel functions.
- Report major infrastructural issues or hazards directly to the Maintenance Supervisor or Management.
- Keep the maintenance workshop and all storage areas clean, organized, and secure.
- Hold an OND, HND, or relevant vocational/technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of proven experience in hotel, facility, or property maintenance.
- Strong working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Physically fit with the stamina to lift heavy materials, bend, and work in varying environmental conditions.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first attitude.
