About the Role
Mshel Homes Limited, a leading independent real estate company based in Abuja, Nigeria, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Site Engineer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in bridging the gap between innovative architectural designs and flawless execution, ensuring every project meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites, acting as the primary technical adviser for all ongoing activities.
- Monitor site labor forces and subcontractors to guarantee strict adherence to design specifications and timelines.
- Utilize design software and drawing tools to plan and review structural designs, blueprints, and quantity calculations.
- Compute material costs and propose cost-effective solutions without compromising structural integrity.
- Liaise effectively with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, clients, and municipal authorities to obtain necessary permits and resolve technical challenges.
- Enforce rigorous health, safety, and quality control standards across all project phases.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven professional experience as a Site Engineer or Architect within the Nigerian construction industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex architectural drawings, structural plans, and contract documents.
- Demonstrated expertise in construction methods, building systems, and material estimation.
