About the Role
Ponticelli Nigeria Limited (PNL), a premier subsidiary of the global Ponticelli Frères Group, delivers world-class construction, maintenance, and upgrade services for the Nigerian oil and gas sector. We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Shutdown Preparation Lead to drive a major offshore Field Facility Shutdown (FFSD) campaign on an FPSO. In this critical role, you will spearhead all preparatory phases to guarantee flawless, safe, and efficient offshore execution, collaborating with diverse multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced energy environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs our Shutdown Preparation Lead, you will oversee and streamline all operational readiness tasks prior to execution. Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Lead and coordinate all preparation activities for the offshore FFSD campaign.
- Manage and supervise a multidisciplinary team covering mechanical static equipment, piping, structural, E&I, and lifting operations.
- Compile, review, validate, and approve comprehensive job packs and job cards.
- Ensure technical documentation quality, including isometric drawings, method statements, spading and isolation plans, and Job Risk Assessments (JRA).
- Conduct offshore site visits to track progress, resolve bottlenecks, and align key stakeholders.
- Support shutdown planning, resource allocation, and work sequencing strategies.
- Maintain strict compliance with company HSE standards and industry best practices.
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following expertise and qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas process industry with a proven track record in major offshore shutdowns, turnarounds, or maintenance campaigns on FPSOs or refineries.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical static equipment, piping systems, isolation processes, and E&I activities.
- Demonstrated leadership and team coordination capabilities within multicultural environments.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Full professional fluency in written and spoken English.
