About the Role
UAC Foods Limited, a leading joint venture between UAC of Nigeria PLC and Tiger Brands Limited, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Shift Manager, Production to join our manufacturing team in Nigeria. Renowned for iconic consumer brands such as Gala Sausage Roll, Funtime Cup Cake, and Supreme Ice-Cream, we are committed to delivering exceptional quality to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Champion a zero-harm safety culture, ensuring strict adherence to HSE, GMP, and HACCP standards across all production shifts.
- Drive Right-First-Time production while minimizing quality defects, material waste, and consumer complaints.
- Manage shift operations to achieve production targets, optimizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), yield, and labour productivity.
- Lead, coach, and develop production teams through effective manpower planning, performance reviews, and engagement initiatives.
- Control operational costs by monitoring utility usage, material consumption, and implementing loss-elimination strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Human Resources to resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Minimum of HND, B.Sc., or B.Tech in Engineering, Food Science, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 7 years of cognate manufacturing experience within the FMCG or food and beverage industry, with 3 to 5 years in a shift leadership role.
- Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, alongside sound financial and cost management skills.
- Relevant professional body membership and certifications in Food Safety or Operational Excellence are distinct advantages.
