About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading industrial conglomerate, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager for our Packing Plant operations in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will plan, coordinate, and supervise all packing plant production and maintenance activities to ensure seamless operations, minimize equipment downtime, and consistently achieve our high-volume manufacturing targets.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the development and articulation of the plant's maintenance plan and shift production activities.
- Oversee the effective and efficient execution of plant maintenance and shift operations within the packing unit.
- Plan for and order packing plant machine spares in a timely manner based on operational requirements.
- Supervise engineers and shift operational staff to ensure equipment availability with minimal downtime.
- Liaise with HSE personnel to ensure the provision of personal protective equipment and comprehensive safety training.
- Ensure routine and corrective maintenance is carried out on packing plant machinery efficiently.
- Coordinate and manage a comprehensive database for all plant maintenance activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent relevant field.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of cement production processes, packing machines, functions, and standard procedures.
- Strong expertise in maintenance repairs, troubleshooting, diagnostic techniques, and equipment replacement.
