About the Role
West African Soy Industries Limited operates one of the largest specialized oils and fats processing complexes in Africa, located in Sagamu, Ogun State, Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dedicated and results-driven Shift in Charge Refinery to oversee our daily production operations. In this vital manufacturing role, you will ensure that all extraction and refining processes run smoothly, meeting strict quality specifications, production targets, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the operation of solvent extraction equipment for soybeans, rice bran, palm kernel, and shea nuts.
- Monitor temperature, steam pressure gauges, flowmeters, and ammeters to regulate material flow within specified limits.
- Test material samples for conformity to plant standards using scales, moisture meters, hydrometers, or titration.
- Perform inspection and gauging operations to maintain quality standards and record data in inspection software.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment by strictly adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure accurate documentation of production reports, maintaining compliance with GMP and good housekeeping practices.
- Adhere to data privacy regulations by obtaining consent and ensuring absolute confidentiality during data processing.
- Comply with all requirements of FSSC, Feed Safety, GMP, and QMS relevant to the job function.
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a high-mass-volume manufacturing environment as a shift supervisor, preferably in extraction and edible oil-based refineries.
