About the Role
True Metals Nigeria Limited, part of the esteemed True Metals Mauritius Ltd. Group, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift in-Charge Production for our Copper Plant. Operating in Nigeria since 2018, we are a premier export and import group specializing in non-ferrous metals, including lead products, lead alloys, lead ingots, and high-quality copper products. We are looking for a dynamic manufacturing professional to drive our shift operations, optimize output, and maintain our rigorous quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities within the copper smelting and manufacturing plant.
- Monitor shift performance metrics to ensure production targets, efficiency goals, and deadlines are consistently met.
- Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations across the plant floor.
- Troubleshoot machinery and operational bottlenecks swiftly to minimize downtime and production delays.
- Manage shift personnel, allocate tasks effectively, and foster a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Conduct routine quality checks on raw materials and finished copper products to guarantee compliance with industry specifications.
- Maintain accurate shift logs, equipment maintenance records, and daily production reports for management review.
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of hands-on production experience in a heavy manufacturing, metal smelting, or industrial plant setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in copper plant operations, metal processing, and furnace management.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of supervising shift workers and multi-disciplinary teams.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial safety protocols, hazard identification, and OSHA compliance.
