About the Role

Royal Resource Management (RRM) is currently seeking a patient, compassionate, and attentive Shadow Teacher to join our educational support network. In this rewarding role, you will provide dedicated, one-on-one assistance to a child with special educational needs within a mainstream school environment in Nigeria. You will collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, therapists, and parents to foster a nurturing and inclusive learning atmosphere that promotes holistic student development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver tailored one-on-one academic and social support to the assigned child throughout daily classroom activities.
  • Assist the student in comprehending, following, and successfully completing classroom assignments and instructional tasks.
  • Facilitate positive peer interactions, effective communication, and active participation in group learning settings.
  • Implement positive behavior intervention strategies to manage, redirect, and minimize classroom disruptions.
  • Adhere strictly to individualized education plans (IEPs) and specialized therapeutic goals outlined by the school.
  • Promote student self-reliance and independence, carefully avoiding the creation of academic or personal over-dependence.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a NCE, Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with children with special educational needs, autism, or developmental delays.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, patience, communication, and emotional resilience skills.
  • Ability to collaborate harmoniously with educators, therapists, and parents.
  • Strong understanding of child development and inclusive classroom methodologies.
