About the Role
Eeqraa International Model School, an esteemed Islamic-oriented private day school located in Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, is currently seeking a passionate and qualified Physics Teacher. Situated right on the border of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, our institution is dedicated to providing an enriching educational environment that seamlessly integrates high-standard Western academics with Islamic moral values (Deen) from early childhood through secondary levels. We are looking for an inspiring educator who can bring Physics to life for our students, fostering both academic excellence and strong character development.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, well-structured Physics lessons to secondary school students in accordance with the approved curriculum.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, and formative assessments to track student progress.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
- Encourage critical thinking and practical application of physics concepts through laboratory experiments and interactive discussions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school administration to support school-wide academic and extracurricular initiatives.
- Provide regular constructive feedback and mentorship to students to nurture their academic potential.
- Minimum of an NCE, B.Ed., B.Sc., or B.A. in Physics or a related discipline.
- A Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) will be considered an added advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse learners.
- Proven expertise in modern classroom management techniques.
- A genuine passion for teaching, mentoring, and shaping young minds within an Islamic-oriented framework.
- Previous teaching experience in a recognized secondary institution is highly preferred.
