About the Role

We are currently looking for a detail-orented Settlement and Reconciliation Officer to join our dynamic team and safeguard the integrity of our financial transactions across multiple payment channels.
Key Responsibilities- Execute daily settlement of transactions across multiple payment systems, digital wallets, and partner networks.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank statements, internal ledgers, and POS transactions.
- Investigate discrepancies, non-reconciled transactions, and ledger errors, escalating unresolved items appropriately.
- Collaborate with switching companies, finance, operations, and customer support to resolve reconciliation breaks within agreed timelines.
- Work with IT and fintech partners to automate reconciliation workflows using ERP systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare comprehensive reconciliation reports highlighting results, discrepancies, risks, and trends for senior management.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate documentation and explanations.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in reconciliation, settlements, or financial operations within fintech, banking, or financial services.
- Expert knowledge of reconciliation practices, payment systems, and financial software.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros), with SQL or Python as an added advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong organizational skills.
