About the Role
Collection Developments is a forward-thinking real estate investment and management firm dedicated to creating exceptional properties that deliver lasting commercial and social value. We are currently seeking an experienced Setting-Out Engineer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the structural accuracy and successful execution of our ambitious developments, setting new standards for residential, commercial, and cultural spaces.
Key Responsibilities- Establish the site grid and permanent benchmark system before construction commences, securing sign-off from the Construction Manager and structural engineer.
- Set out all block positions and column grid positions to survey accuracy prior to each raft commencement.
- Provide comprehensive level control for all floor slabs, establishing datum marks and verifying slab thickness.
- Set out internal partition positions on each floor according to the requirements of the Fit-Out Manager.
- Check, record, and produce as-built survey records for all column and slab positions.
- Maintain an accurate site survey register for all setting-out records, checks, and as-built measurements.
- Deliver reliable survey support to Site Engineers during reinforcement inspections.
- Calibrate, manage, and maintain all survey instruments utilized on site.
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering, with registration with SURCON strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of dedicated land surveying experience working on major construction projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating total stations, digital levels, and GPS survey equipment.
- Extensive hands-on experience in setting out multi-storey reinforced concrete structures.
- Exceptional precision, absolute accuracy, and meticulous record-keeping abilities.
