About the Role
Avery Nigeria Limited (ANL) is the leading supplier of electronic and mechanical weighing equipment, inkjet coding systems, and airport service equipment in Nigeria. Established in 1969 with our corporate head office in Ikeja, Lagos, we boast a highly experienced team dedicated to excellence in weighing metrology. We are currently looking for a skilled, proactive Service Engineer to join our technical team to install, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced weighing systems while delivering exceptional customer service and technical support across client sites.
Key Responsibilities- Install weighing scales and heavy-duty weighbridges accurately at customer locations.
- Troubleshoot technical faults and provide reliable, prompt engineering solutions.
- Diagnose, evaluate, and resolve complex equipment issues effectively.
- Train client personnel on proper machine operation, safety, and basic maintenance procedures.
- Repair, test, and perform scheduled preventive maintenance on various equipment.
- Monitor machine performance closely to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.
- Provide clients with detailed service reports and regular feedback on maintenance activities.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with corporate customers.
- Escalate recurring technical issues to management to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide constructive feedback on product performance, features, and potential enhancements.
- Minimum of a B.Eng, B.Sc, or HND in Mechanical, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing electromechanical and electronic equipment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve customer concerns swiftly.
- Willingness to travel extensively for field assignments across various locations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical information for clients.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate resourcefulness in high-pressure problem-solving scenarios.
