About the Role
Inspiration 92.3FM, a premier family radio station dedicated to uplifting and inspiring our listeners through uplifting music and engaging information, is seeking an experienced Head of Broadcast Engineering to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of our broadcast operations, ensuring flawless transmission, pristine audio quality, and minimal downtime across our studio and transmission infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, lead, and mentor the technical engineering team to ensure peak performance and seamless daily operations.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all studio equipment, audio routing systems, and RF transmission gear.
- Monitor signal integrity continuously and implement a rigorous schedule of preventive maintenance.
- Plan, execute, and deliver technical projects, upgrades, and studio expansions on time and within budget.
- Collaborate closely with programming, production, and on-air teams to support live shows, recordings, and remote broadcasts.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and broadcast health and safety requirements.
- Evaluate emerging broadcast technologies and develop technical documentation to drive workflow automation and operational efficiency.
- Extensive professional experience in radio or broadcast engineering, covering RF transmission, IP-based broadcast systems, and studio infrastructure.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of mentoring technical staff.
- Strong project management capabilities for planning and executing complex technical upgrades.
- Working knowledge of software development or scripting for workflow automation is a distinct advantage.
- Solid understanding of broadcast health, safety, and regulatory compliance standards in Nigeria.
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues under pressure.
- Relevant technical degree or professional certification in Broadcast Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
