About the Role
Pacific International Drilling S.A. is a growing offshore drilling company providing global ultra-deepwater drilling services to the oil and natural gas industry through the use of high-specification drillships. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Subsea Engineer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria, playing a pivotal role in maintaining our high standards of safety, integrity, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimal operation of all subsea equipment, including Blowout Preventers (BOPs) and control systems.
- Manage hydraulic and fluid-system maintenance, ensuring strict adherence to safety and operational protocols.
- Perform accurate and timely engineering calculations for riser runs, riser tensioners, and Constant Tension (CMC) functions.
- Maintain and troubleshoot wellhead equipment and running tools to minimize operational downtime.
- Ensure the successful completion of all mandatory training requirements and safety compliance programs within designated timeframes.
- Collaborate with offshore and onshore teams to resolve technical challenges and support seamless drilling operations.
- Recognized Marine or Engineering qualification from an accredited maritime college or equivalent institution.
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience in offshore drilling, with specialized education or training in hydraulics and fluid-system maintenance.
- Superior technical knowledge of BOPs, control systems, riser tensioners, CMC functions, wellhead equipment, and running tools.
- Educational background including SSCE/WAEC/GCE O-Level, alongside an OND, HND, or B.Sc. degree in a relevant discipline.
- Must be a Nigerian resident currently residing in Nigeria with valid authorization to work.
- Fluent English communication skills, both oral and written, with strong technical reporting capabilities.
