About the Role
Credit Direct Limited is a leading non-bank finance company headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, established in 2006 and providing payroll-based consumer loans across 25 states. We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Engineer to protect our AWS cloud estate, Kubernetes platform, and software delivery pipelines. In this role, you will champion robust detection, response, and compliance capabilities, ensuring our digital services remain resilient against evolving threats while adhering strictly to CBN, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and NDPR standards.
Key Responsibilities- Design and maintain preventive and detective security controls across AWS accounts using IAM, AWS Config, WAF, and GuardDuty.
- Harden Amazon EKS clusters, enforce Pod Security Standards, and secure the container supply chain from image scanning to runtime monitoring.
- Build and maintain detection coverage in Datadog Cloud SIEM while driving technical security incident response workflows.
- Enforce encryption, IAM authentication, and least-privilege access across relational and NoSQL databases.
- Translate regulatory frameworks like CBN, PCI DSS, and NDPR into enforceable technical controls and automated audit evidence.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with development teams to embed security best practices into CI/CD pipelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 6 to 8 years of cybersecurity experience, with at least 4 years securing production AWS workloads and 2 years securing Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
- Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CKS, CISSP, or CISM are strongly preferred.
- Extensive hands-on experience in regulated environments, preferably within financial services.
