About the Role
The Dangote Group is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Senior Scheduler to join our operational headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will act as the operational anchor for the refinery scheduling function, ensuring seamless alignment between daily scheduling activities and strategic production goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and issue daily, weekly, and rolling production schedules incorporating updates from operations, maintenance, and supply chain.
- Facilitate cross-functional production meetings with unit operations, maintenance planners, and process engineers.
- Lead rapid response actions and contingency planning during unplanned operational disruptions.
- Maintain advanced scheduling software (APS, PIMS) and ensure robust digital integration and data accuracy.
- Track and report schedule adherence, product yields, and operational KPIs while driving continuous process improvements.
- Supervise, mentor, and coach junior schedulers to build a high-performing team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in crude refinery operations, scheduling, or planning.
- At least 5 years in a supervisory scheduling or planning role within a complex industrial environment.
- Proven proficiency in APS, PIMS, and ERP data integration systems.
- Strong understanding of production constraints, crude and product markets, trading economics, and refinery operations.
