Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and conduct high-quality, impactful academic research in federalism, democratic studies, and related social science disciplines.
  • Publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed national and international journals.
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide postgraduate students and junior researchers within the Centre.
  • Secure research grants and foster collaborative partnerships with national and international academic institutions and policy organizations.
  • Organize conferences, seminars, workshops, and public lectures focused on governance, democracy, and public policy.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a First Degree with a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division with a PhD.
  • A PhD in Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, Law, Political Economy, Development Studies, Sociology, History, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of active teaching or research experience in a tertiary institution or relevant research organization.
  • At least eight (8) quality peer-reviewed publications in recognized academic outlets.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of total professional and working experience demonstrating strong research capacity and scholarly contribution.
