The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is inviting qualified and dynamic academic professionals to apply for the position of Senior Research Fellow at the prestigious Centre for Federalism and Democratic Studies. Key Responsibilities- Lead and conduct high-quality, impactful academic research in federalism, democratic studies, and related social science disciplines.
- Publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Supervise, mentor, and guide postgraduate students and junior researchers within the Centre.
- Secure research grants and foster collaborative partnerships with national and international academic institutions and policy organizations.
- Organize conferences, seminars, workshops, and public lectures focused on governance, democracy, and public policy.
- Possession of a First Degree with a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division with a PhD.
- A PhD in Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, Law, Political Economy, Development Studies, Sociology, History, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of active teaching or research experience in a tertiary institution or relevant research organization.
- At least eight (8) quality peer-reviewed publications in recognized academic outlets.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of total professional and working experience demonstrating strong research capacity and scholarly contribution.
